Reaching Kalavrita

Kalavrita is situated in Achaia, at the foot of Mount Chelmos with an altitude of 750 km. Kalavrita is 77 km away from Patras and 195 km from Athens. It is a land of long-aged history, rich in archaeological sights but still full of magnificent natural beauties, an enviable sight of the Greek land.
Nowadays Kalavrita is a remarkable resort where a tourist can visit Gorge of Vouraikos River by the unique long-aged cog railway, the modern ski-centre on Chelmos, the Cave Lakes at Kastria, the Site of Sacrifice as well as the historical monasteries of Agia Lavra and Mega Spileon.
